CoAA NEEDS YOUR HELP!! (03/23/2010)
Arizona Appraisers must be united in order to make the necessary changes our profession desperately needs today. We are all frustrated with the recent changes in our daily business and in our growing reliance on AMC's to survive. Our challenges are many and are significant. The Coalition of Arizona Appraisers has been established to help take back our profession, and in doing so, has created a bill to regulate the AMCs. The Coalition wrote the bill, presented it to the appraisers across Arizona for input, and in short order got it introduced to the State Legislature. The process of successfully getting a bill passed comes at a cost, and although CoAA is run by volunteers, it is necessary to have a professional Lobbyist who has ;the expertise and contacts to successfully push it forward and get the bill passed.
The Coalition is also working very hard to address other matters of importance to all Arizona Appraisers. Other issues to be addressed include proposals to the State Board of Appraisal for reforms that will benefit all Arizona Appraisers, and changing the way BPO's and AVM's are done and utilized; bringing business back to Arizona Appraisers!
The appraisal business is tough right now, and we have all seen dramatic decreases in fees and business. But, it is at these trying times that we realize we need to come together to make a difference. Now is that time! All Arizona Appraisers must unite and come together to speak as one voice to bring forward the needed changes to our profession. CoAA is working hard for Arizona appraisers to facilitate the change that is needed, however, we desperately need every appraiser's help as there is power in numbers and power in good minds!
Currently the Coalition is 425 members strong, which is impressive, but CoAA needs your support and membership. If you are already a member, thank you! If you are a member but have not contributed financially, please consider donating OR help by bringing in at least one new member to the organization in the month of April.
