02/23/10 The AMC Bill was passed in the Senate Commerce Committe Hearing!!!

02/23/10 Senate Commerce Committee Meeting.

02/16/10 Stakeholder meeting to discuss AMC Bill. 

02/16/10 First Senate Commerce Committee hearing.

02/01/10 Arizona AMC bill was dropped.

01/18/10 Installed the first Board of Directors of CoAA.

01/18/10 Engaged the firm of LaSota & Peter to lobby the AMC Bill.

01/08/10 CoAA unveils Website.

01/07/10 Join Us membership notice goes out.

12/18/09 Legislative committee meets with Representative Reagan and receives her acceptance to co-sponsor the AMC Bill.

12/17/09 Legislative committee meets with Senator Tibshraeny about the AMC Bill and receives his acceptance to sponsor the Bill.

12/16/09 CoAA adopts a budget and files for IRS Tax Exempt status after approval of the Articles of Incorporation.

12/15/09 CoAA leadership visits Sedona to discuss appraisal profession issues.

12/11/09 AMC committee completes 6th and Final draft of AMC Bill.

11/24/09 CoAA leadership visits Mohave County to discuss appraisal profession issues.

11/19/09 CoAA received $2,000 donation from Real Estate Appraisers of Southern Arizona (REASA )

11/17/09 CoAA filed Non-Profit LLC filed with the Secretary of State .

11/10/09 CoAA leadership visits Prescott to discuss appraisal profession issues.

11/01/09 AMC Regulation Bill (first draft) review period ends; AMC Committee works on 1st revision.

10/28/09 AMC Committee is visited by RELs to discuss the Arizona AMC Regulation Bill. The CoAA AMC Committee, headed by Jay Delich, discusses the Arizona AMC Bill with two VPs from RELS.

10/27/09 CoAA leadership visits Tucson to discuss appraisal professional issues and attends REASA and AI meetings

10/19- 10/20/09 CoAA unveils itself at the Arizona Appraiser Conference, 350+ appraisers are in attendance. Appraisers vote to proceed with legislative regulation of AMCs and BPOs, and to help the appraisal board make constructive changes.

10/3/09 First Draft of the Arizona AMC bill is emailed to the appraisers in Arizona for review and comment.

7/09 CoAA is founded through a joint effort of concerned appraisers. Mission statement is developed-- to foster the public trust and represent all appraisers with a united voice through non-partisan communication with other appraisal organizations, legislative bodies, and government agencies.

6/24/09 Major appraisal organizations meet (Phx AI, NAIFA, Tucson AI, ASA and NAMA) in Phoenix to discuss legislative issues affecting appraisers—AMCs, BPOs, State Board of Appraisal. All in attendance unanimously agree that these issues are significant to the Arizona Appraiser, and agreed to move forward with research and recommendations on how to make any necessary changes.
